Broad Street Welcomes Greene Street
The consignment retailer opened on Broad Street recently.
Red Bank welcomed its newest retailer recently when Greene Street opened the doors at its newest location on Broad Street, right in the heart of the borough's downtown.
The consignment shop, which ditches the typical high-end leftovers model in favor of a more broad-band approach - along with some reuse and recycle flair - opened at the former home of Funk and Standard at 40 Broad St., taking just about a month to complete the turnover from one business to the next.
And while Funk and Standard continues to work towards a reopening at its new digs at 7 Broad St., Greene's doors are open with rows and rows of clothing and accessories of all varieties available for purchase.
This newest incarnation of Greene Street is the eighth such shop. The original Greene opened in Philadelphia in 1997 and has since grown to include stores in towns like Princeton and Lambertville on this side of the Delaware River.
