Bon Jovi on Hand to Open Soul Kitchen [VIDEO]

The internationally famous rock star opens a pay-what-you-can restaurant on Monmouth Street in Red Bank.

The idea is simple, pay what you can. If you don't have the money, pay it forward.

At the JBJ Soul Kitchen, it's all about doing what you can. Those who attend the Red Bank restaurant located in a converted garage on Monmouth Street are invited to enjoy a great meal comprised of local ingredients prepared by chefs and in exchange, the restaurant asks only that you pay what you can or work it off by volunteering at the restaurant or any number of local charitable organizations, like .

On hand to dedicate the restaurant's opening was Jon Bon Jovi who, along with his wife, Dorothea and the JBJ Soul Foundation, have spent two years developing the pilot program with the goal of providing the needy and underserved with nutritous and delicious meals. Touted as the first of it's kind, the Soul Kitchen could soon be expanded.
