Over the past three years, the RBR Education Foundation has provided Red Bank Regional with technology valued at more than $60,000. While school budgets are tight, and seem to be getting tighter, the foundation has been able to directly fund programs in the classroom with grants to teachers.
For $50 a person, the foundation took over Picnic Area #5 at Monmouth Park and provided participants with Grandstand Admission, a racing program and pen. A gourmet lunch was served up by Chef Roscowinski and the RBR Culinary Club, and beverages flowed for the adults.
50/50 tickets were sold prior to the 7th race, which was dubbed "The RBR Education Foundation Classic," and the winner, Jennamarie DeVito, a biology teacher at the school, was invited to the Winner's Circle to present the trophy to winning jockey Chuck Lopez, who rode Wild Rainbow to a first place finish.
