Every girl dreams of her wedding day, little did Racquel Petrucelli know this would not only be a day to always remember but a day that could no longer takes place.

As hundreds of people suffer from damages of Hurricane Sandy, her future husband, an Oceanport police officer, has been busy working 16-hour shifts to help these individuals with all their losses. While his soon-to-be bride tried to figure out if there was any hope for this wedding to take place.

These two amazing people, who live in Eatontown, had their wedding planned for last weekend at Meri Makers in Sea Bright, which is no longer there. With so much depression in this area Racquel was hoping to still have her wedding to lift everyone’s spirits. With the weekend just ahead Racquel slowly saw her "dream vision" come to a end.

Just as all hopes seemed lost until at least the spring (the earliest) when Meri Makers plans on being back up and running, the community of Long Branch and West Long Branch came together to help Racquel and Dan have their wedding.

Their florist made some phone calls and was able to help them get the West Long Branch Community Center and another member of the community center was able to call a catering company who said they would love to help this couple.

To top it off on just how amazing people are their DJ, who lost his own home to the hurricane, has said he would be there. Seeing people come together, who have so much going on to help this young couple start their life off to a blessed happy start, is just unbelievable.

I know Racquel and Dan can not thank everyone who has gone beyond the extra mile for them. It truly is a sight to see within a few hours they are now able to have their wedding this wedding.

Everyone who came had a great time it was truly a day to never forget .
